YOGA CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
All classes are Open-Level classes unless otherwise specified. Please check the printed schedule.
🌡️ Heated classes are set to 85-90°.
Heated classes will be indicated on schedule as warm.
Regular classes are a comfortable room temperature.
ENERGY FLOW:
Energy Flow combines the fluidity of graceful movements with the invigorating intensity of strength-building poses. This class is crafted to elevate your energy, enhance flexibility, and build both physical and mental resilience. Open to all.
EVENING FLOW:
Evening Flow is your nightly invitation to serenity, where each class is a unique exploration shaped by the teaching style of the instructor. Embrace the fluidity of yoga as our instructors guide you through a diverse range of practices – from gentle flows to meditative stillness. All levels
GENTLE YOGA (*CHAIR YOGA OPTIONAL)
This class will offer a gentle yoga practice that focuses on maintaining mobility of the spine, strengthening the core musculature, improving balance, and increasing joint range-of-motion. Classes will include breathing exercises (pranayama), meditation, and safe, easy-to-follow yoga postures, some done either sitting in a chair or standing alongside a chair if needed, or on a yoga mat.
RISE AND SHINE:
"Rise and Shine" is a vibrant morning yoga class that adapts to each instructor's unique style. Dive into your day with positivity as our diverse instructors bring their individual expertise, offering a mix of invigorating flows and mindful stretches. It's a sunrise canvas, waiting to be painted with the distinct touch of each teacher.
STRETCH & LENGTHEN:
The Slow Flow pace of this class is meditative, emphasizing peace and calm in body and mind.This beginner friendly class helps you to build the foundations of your yoga practice, with a focus on cultivating the mind/body connection. Moving at a slower pace allows you to explore each posture, to move with steady composure, to take the practice to your edge without sacrificing safety or joy. Develop strength, flexibility, balance, and tranquility in this slow flow class, accessible to all students. No experience in yoga is needed to join this class. All-level
SATSANG & MEDITATION WORKSHOPS: Join us for this incredible one-hour spiritual talk and meditation on inspiring topics that change weekly. Leave feeling profoundly peaceful and deeply inspired every Tuesday night! All are welcome.
RESTORATIVE YOGA WORKSHOPS: Surrender into quiet, supported postures using bolsters and blankets. This class will help you to travel deep within yourself, restoring the body, mind, and spirit. Restorative yoga is a wonderful compliment to any level of practice. No experience in yoga is needed to join this class.
SIVANANDA YOGA: This is an open-level traditional, slow paced, meditative class that helps encourage proper breathing, flexibility, strength and vitality in the body while calming the mind. Class includes pranayama (breathing exercises), warm-ups including Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar), 12 basic asanas (postures) and deep relaxation. The focus is on mastering the basic asanas from which variations are then added to further deepen the practice. The asanas follow an exact order that allows for the systematic movement of every major part of the body in a balanced way that enhances prana or life force energy. Additional variations may also be taught.
Open-Level
YOGA-LATES: Join us for a one-hour Yoga-lates class, where the flow of yoga meets the strength of Pilates! This dynamic, bodyweight workout combines yoga poses with targeted Pilates exercises to enhance flexibility, build core strength, and improve body awareness. Suitable for all levels, the class emphasizes mindful movement, breath control, and proper alignment. You'll leave feeling rejuvenated, balanced, and energized.
